What Is Up With This World?

This is a crazy world, however we must still navigate through it, while trying to remain sane - as sane as one can reasonably be expected to be. Consider my blog to be a rant to this world; it may point out the negative things taking place, but I promise to always try to put a positive spin on it, however difficult that may be. At any rate, I hope you all enjoy reading my posts.

Christmas Morning

Well, here we are. The big day has finally arrived. Taylor, Hunter and Austin (my niece and nephews) are opening the gifts that Santa delivered to them just a few hours ago. The aroma of food is traveling from the kitchen to the home office where I am currently engrossed in a cross between internet surfing and Christmas morning blogging. Everyone is remembering what this special time REALLY means. I think back to some 2008 years ago. How special must that morning have been! There were no luxurious accomodations, or even comfortable ones. Little did Joseph and Mary know that their baby boy would be the most special thing to ever happen to our world. They knew nothing of the profound effect He would have on this earth.

There is nothing more special than being around children on Christmas morning. It makes me feel like a kid again. Hunter is four years old and is still in awe of that amazing feeling of exiting bed and walking into another room to see that Jolly Ol' St. Nick has made a delivery especially for him.

I have sent my usual barrage of holiday text messages, waking up pretty much everyone on each coast and in between. I have a feeling somewhere, there are some people who would like to do bodily harm to me right now. While sugar plum fairies were dancing through their heads, I was sending a text message that would jog them awake.

To all of you I awoke early this morning - sorry. To those of you reading this message that I may not have reached, Merry Christmas! Enjoy your day.
