What Is Up With This World?

Yahoo Finance is reporting that Bernard "Bernie" Madoff will be residing in one of the nation's cushiest federal prisons. The Devil You Say! I'll be honest folks - I sure didn't see that coming.

For those of you who have never had the true Arlene experience, that's sarcasm. It's been obvious since the beginning of the so-called investigation that would be where he was headed. In fact, he must have stolen the wrong person's money. There would have never been a federal investigation had that not been the case.

If it were a bunch of everyday Joes, he would still be in his penthouse playing on his laptop and funneling funds into his offshore accounts. I call the investigation a "so-called" one because had it been an actual investigation done by anyone other than Maxwell Smart himself, there would be a whole lot more of those scammers strung up.

I could only hope he would have been sentenced to Levinworth or Beaumont FCI, but no such luck. The federal government could have saved a whole lot of our tax dollars if he would have been sent there and forced to serve his time in "genpop". Problem solved. None of his real victims will ever see any of their money again anyway.

I believe a late night talk show host summed it up the best when he said everyone should have been suspicious from the beginning. After all, his last name is Madoff (pronounced "Made-Off"), as in "made off" with everyone's money.
