What Is Up With This World?

This is a crazy world, however we must still navigate through it, while trying to remain sane - as sane as one can reasonably be expected to be. Consider my blog to be a rant to this world; it may point out the negative things taking place, but I promise to always try to put a positive spin on it, however difficult that may be. At any rate, I hope you all enjoy reading my posts.

This may very well be my last post as this very eventful and chaotic year comes to a close. Though I am not certain if I will have an opportunity to post anything else this afternoon or evening, I wanted to make sure that I leave you with words of wisdom and experience. You never know when angels are among you and you never know whose world you have brightened with so much as a smile or however small bit of help you may freely give to them.

Each and every one of us makes a difference in this world. Let us not waste our talents or gifts and let us each make an attempt to touch those around us, for the better. None of us can change things in our past - whether those are things we may have failed to do or whether that entails things we wish we would not have done. It is a waste of one's time and energy to focus on what we perceive as mistakes, regrets or guilt. Instead, we should focus on what needs to be done in order to make change happen, whether that is for ourselves or for the world around us.

We are about to embark upon the journey that is the year 2009. We must all help our fellow man in any way that we can, even if we do not believe they would do the same for us. For the reality of this world is that we probably would not receive the same in return, but we must try ourselves to do good. Just think what positive things would come about if each of us made a daily attempt to help someone. Sooner or later, it would have to come back to us.

Happy 2009 to all. I know I am certainly looking forward to shedding the year 2008. I cannot wait to leave it behind!
